Don’t Eat The Cashier!

What do you do when the next customer through the door is an incubus who can’t flirt to save his life? Don’t Eat The Cashier! puts you behind the register for exactly one night shift, and every monster who walks in expects you to figure that out on your own.

Don’t Eat The Cashier’s One Shift, Three Regulars

The night’s cast rotates around three main personalities competing for your attention at the register. Viktor is an incubus whose seduction attempts consistently miss the mark, which makes him easily the most awkward — and most quietly endearing — regular of the night. David plays it straight as a vampire leaning hard into a practiced bad-boy routine. Deiran, sometimes called the Mad King, brings a chaotic, half-royal energy that makes conversations with him feel less predictable than either of the other two.

The Werewolf: not a romance option at all, the Werewolf exists purely for a lighter, low-stakes interaction — offering yourself up to be pet rather than pursued, a small tonal break from the flirtation running through the rest of the shift.

In Don’t Eat The Cashier, Bob Is Always Watching

Regardless of which regular you spend the night talking to, a manager known as Bob — styled by some players as B’ob — oversees the store like a looming, octopus-featured presence with more than a passing resemblance to classic cosmic horror. Bob’s role stays constant across every route, a fixed point of unease behind an otherwise flexible, choice-driven night.

No Game Over, Just Consequences

There’s no traditional fail state waiting to end your shift early. Instead, the tension comes from steering the conversation carefully enough that you don’t end up, narratively speaking, on the menu — a framing the game leans into rather than hiding. Every dialogue choice nudges you toward one of nine possible endings, ranging from a genuine spark with Viktor, David, or Deiran to considerably darker outcomes if the night goes badly.

  1. Do all three routes lead to a romantic ending? Not necessarily — each regular has their own range of outcomes, and pushing the wrong buttons with any of them can steer the night toward one of the darker, non-romantic endings instead.
  2. Is the Werewolf ever a full route like the others? No — the Werewolf interaction stays a smaller, separate beat rather than branching into its own ending path the way Viktor, David, and Deiran do.
  3. Does Bob ever become a threat directly? Bob’s presence looms over every route as a constant, but the direct danger of the night comes from how you handle Viktor, David, and Deiran rather than from Bob intervening personally.

What sells the premise of Don’t Eat The Cashier! is how differently the same shift plays out depending on who you lean toward talking to — Viktor’s fumbling attempts, David’s rehearsed charm, or Deiran’s genuinely unpredictable energy — with Bob quietly watching over all nine possible ways the night can end.
