Privacy Policy
GameFyno runs on a simple principle: you shouldn’t have to hand over personal information just to play a game in your browser. This page lays out, in plain terms, what data ends up in our hands when you visit gamefyno.com, why it ends up there, and what you can do about it.
1. What We Actually Collect
There’s no sign-up wall on GameFyno, so we’re not sitting on a database of names and passwords. What we do end up with falls into two buckets:
- What you type in yourself. If you rate a game, leave a comment, or write to us through the Contact Us page, we get exactly what you submit — nothing more.
- What your browser hands over automatically. Standard technical details pass through our servers on every visit: IP address, browser and device type, the page that referred you, which pages you viewed, and when. This is true of essentially every website on the internet, and GameFyno is no exception.
2. Cookies, in Practical Terms
A handful of small files get stored in your browser while you’re here. Some remember things like whether you switched to dark mode. Others feed traffic-analytics tools so we can see which categories people actually use. And some support the ads that keep the Site free to run. None of this requires you to do anything — but if you’d rather block cookies entirely, your browser settings let you do that. A few preferences (like the theme toggle) just won’t stick between visits if you do.
3. Advertising Networks
Ads on GameFyno are served through third-party networks, Google AdSense among them. These networks set their own cookies and may use them to tailor what ads you see based on browsing activity across different sites — not just ours. We don’t have visibility into or control over exactly how that targeting works on their end. If you want to adjust what kind of ads you see, or opt out of certain tracking, Google’s own advertising policy page is the right place to start.
Separately, we run basic analytics to understand overall traffic — which categories draw visitors, roughly how long people stay, that kind of thing. This is aggregate data; we’re not tracking you as an individual.
4. Games Aren’t Hosted by Us
Most of what you play on GameFyno is pulled in from outside developers and hosting platforms and displayed through our player frame. When a game loads, whoever built or hosts that game may independently see technical details like your IP address, separate from anything GameFyno collects. That’s outside our control, and we’d encourage you to check a developer’s own policy if you want specifics — we simply don’t have access to what happens on their servers.
5. Why We Bother Collecting Any of This
- To keep the catalog running and figure out what’s worth adding or retiring;
- To spot and fix things that are broken;
- To answer whatever you send us through the contact form;
- To catch abuse, bot traffic, or anything that looks like an attack on the Site;
- To support the ads that fund the Site.
6. About Younger Visitors
GameFyno is built for a general audience and isn’t specifically aimed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly gather personal information from anyone that young. If you think a child has sent us information anyway — through the contact form, for instance — let us know via Contact Us and we’ll take care of removing it.
7. How Long We Keep Things
Technical logs used for analytics and security don’t hang around longer than they’re useful for those purposes. Anything you submit voluntarily, like a support message, gets kept only as long as it takes to deal with your inquiry, unless we’re required to hold onto it longer for legal reasons.
8. Your Options
Depending on where you’re writing in from, you may be entitled to ask what data we hold on you, have it corrected, or request that it be deleted. The way to do any of that is to reach out through Contact Us — we’ll handle it from there.
9. If This Page Changes
We’ll update this page when our practices change or when we’re required to for legal reasons. Check the date at the top to see when that last happened. Sticking around after an update means you’re on board with the new version.
10. Reach Us
Any questions about this policy can go to [email protected], or through our Contact Us page.
