GameFyno follows the notice-and-takedown process set out in the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If you’re a copyright holder and think something on this Site infringes your work, here’s exactly how to flag it — and what happens on our end once you do.

1. Sending a Takedown Notice

A notice that’s missing pieces just slows everything down, so under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), please make sure yours includes:

1. A signature — physical or electronic — from the copyright owner or someone authorized to act for them;
2. What the copyrighted work is, described clearly enough for us to identify it;
3. Exactly where the infringing material sits on gamefyno.com — a direct URL is best;
4. How to reach you: name, mailing address, phone number, email;
5. A statement that you genuinely believe the use in question isn’t authorized by the copyright owner, their agent, or the law;
6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, confirming the notice is accurate and that you’re either the owner or authorized to act on their behalf.

2. What We Do With It

Once a notice checks out, we act on it — the material gets removed or access to it gets disabled without unnecessary delay. We may also reach out to whoever supplied the content originally to let them know it’s come down.

3. If You Want to Push Back

Maybe your content got pulled and you think that was a mistake — wrong URL, mistaken identity, something like that. You can file a counter-notice, and it needs to include:

1. Your signature, physical or electronic;
2. What was taken down and where it used to live on the Site;
3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe, in good faith, the removal was a mistake or a case of mistaken identity;
4. Your name, address, and phone number, plus a statement that you agree to the jurisdiction of the federal district court where you live (or, if you’re outside the U.S., wherever GameFyno can be found), and that you’ll accept service of process from whoever filed the original notice.

Counter-notices go to [email protected]. If everything checks out and the original party doesn’t take further legal action, the material can go back up within the timeframe the law allows.

4. Repeat Offenders

Sources or content that keep triggering valid infringement claims may lose access to the Site entirely, at our discretion.

5. A Note on False Claims

Section 512(f) of the DMCA carries real consequences for anyone who knowingly misrepresents that something is infringing when it isn’t. Double-check before you file.
